Have a Conversation Across the World
Little By-Lingual pairs individual students living abroad with our dedicated team of high school volunteers. You can schedule one-on-one meetings with our team, where you can talk about all aspects of your week. Before you sign up, make sure you are at a conversational level in English. This ensures a fun learning experience for both you and your tutor.
What happens in a meeting?
Meetings are fun, casual, conversations where you and our tutors can talk about whatever you want They take place online, using whatever platform you and your tutor are most comfortable with. We believe that having casual conversations is one of the best and most fun ways to pick up a language in a stress-free environment. If you would like to, you can research some things you want to talk about beforehand, but it's completely up to you!
Pen Pal Program
You can practice your written English too!
What Is It?
A pen pal is someone you exchange letters (in this case, emails) with to get to know each other!
You and your pen pal will email each other at least once a month. Both of you will have two weeks to write and send your email.
When Does It Happen?
Why Do It?
Practicing written English is very important for mastery of the language. Along with reviewing grammar, you will learn how to format emails and formal English conventions. And during the whole process, you get to connect with another person and exchange cultures!
How Does It Work?
You will be matched up with a Little By-Lingual tutor for several months. You two will exchange emails about any topic you want! Make sure to tell your pen pal what you want to learn and focus on. Above all, make sure to have fun and form a connection!
